3. Michael Klinger

Michael Klinger was a prominent figure in the shortest format of the game. He steadied the ship when his team was in choppy waters and shepherded the innings beautifully. Also, the Melbourne-born displayed the aggressive aspect of his game when required and took bowling attacks to the cleaners.

Klinger featured in 206 T20 games and amassed a staggering tally of 5960 runs at a strike rate of 123.08, which includes eight centuries and 33 half-centuries. He showed his class in the international arena as well and notched up 143 runs in three T20Is at a strike rate of 127.67.

However, Klinger was a pale shadow of his vintage self in the Indian Premier League. He played four matches in the T20 extravaganza and could only score 73 runs at a strike rate of 94.81. Also, Michael, who had struck 146 sixes in the shortest format, was not able to clear the boundary (six) even once in the cash-rich league.
