6. Shikhar Dhawan

Shikhar Dhawan has been a prominent figure in the cash-rich league. He has been associated with the marquee tournament since its inception and piled on a staggering tally of 6477 runs in 210 matches at a strike rate of 126.98. The veteran batter has taken down top-quality attacks and provided solid starts to his side consistently.

Moreover, Dhawan has also been handed the reins of an IPL side couple of times. Sunrisers Hyderabad appointed the southpaw as the commander-in-chief of the side for the seventh edition. However, he was not able to thrive in the role and SRH succumbed to six losses in 10 outings. Thus, the team management relieved him from the captaincy role and handed it to Darren Sammy.

Then ahead of the 2023 season of the cash-rich league, Punjab Kings handed the reins of the side to Dhawan. The Delhi-born is an experienced campaigner and he would look to take the Punjab side to glory in the 16th IPL edition.
