2. Rishabh Pant (Lucknow Super Giants)
The Lucknow Super Giants captain Rishabh Pant is IPL’s most expensive player ever, with LSG securing him for ₹27 crore in the mega auction. It was a disappointing season for the left-hander, with him managing to score just 312 runs with a strike rate of 138.05, and just one fifty-plus score with the bat.
Not just as a batter, Rishabh ended up having a disastrous season as a captain, with LSG finishing at the tenth position in the points table. He has resigned from the captaincy position post IPL, and it will be interesting to see whether he plays at LSG as a player or switch teams before IPL 2027.
