Delhi Capitals (DC) have come out as a potent side in the league, along with table-toppers MI. Currently, they are second on the points table with four triumphs out of six games. In their impressive journey, bowlers have played a pivotal role. With the availability of quality pacers such as Marizanne Kapp, Shikha Pandey, and Tara Norris, the team has put up an impressive show for its supporters.

In match 11 of the tournament, emboldened DC locked horns with RCB, who were looking to end their losing streak. DC captain Meg Lanning, who won the toss against her counterpart Smriti Mandhana, chose to field first, following her team’s convincing 10 wicket victory against GG in the previous match.

Starting the innings for RCB, openers Mandhana and Sophie Devine were looking to give a perfect start to their team. However, Shikha Pandey came out as a threat for both batters, scalping their wickets to build pressure on RCB. Following the steps of both openers, Heather Knight also fell to Pandey on 11 and left her team in trouble with a score of 63/3. At the end of the innings, Pandey’s efficient bowling performance (3/23) stopped RCB at 150/4, which never looked like a huge task for DC to achieve.
