Abhishek Sharma and Ishan Kishan put together a match-winning 121-run partnership off 53 balls for the second wicket. Abhishek was particularly dominant, smashing 82 off just 32 balls to take the game away from Afghanistan. For Afghanistan, Nabi was the most successful bowler, claiming 2/28 in his three overs.

Indian opener Abhishek Sharma was the standout batting performer of the match. The left-handed batter smashed 82 off just 32 balls, including seven fours and seven sixes, at a staggering strike rate of 256.25. Abhishek completely dominated the Afghanistan bowlers and took the game away from them with his aggressive strokeplay. He also played a key role in India’s comfortable chase, forming a century partnership with Ishan Kishan for the second wicket.

Best bowling spell — Arshdeep Singh

Left-arm pacer Arshdeep Singh delivered the best bowling spell of the match, returning impressive figures of 3/19 in his four overs. He played a crucial role in restricting Afghanistan by dismissing Sediqullah Atal, Mohammad Nabi and Rashid Khan.
