Sri Lanka lost their first match of the tournament by eight wickets as the Lankan boys failed miserably against Afghanistan in the opening clash of this year’s Asia Cup. Wanindu Hasaranga picked up a wicket and gave away 19 runs in three overs and was probably the best performer for them. In order to qualify for the next round, the team needs to massively improve and play some better cricketing shots.

When it comes to Bangladesh, the top order let them down in the first match of the tournament. Mujeeb Ur Rahman and Rashid Khan knocked them out but Mahmuddullah (25) and Mosaddek Hossain (48) fought hard and helped them put 127 on board. The Bangla Tigers fought hard and kept Afghanistan in pressure but Najibulah Zadran’s blistering knock changed everything. With the bowl in hand, they showed potential but a lot needs to be done against Sri Lanka.

Even though there is no chance of rain, it can be a breezy evening in Dubai. The temperature will be around 31 degree celsius during the match. Winds will gust around 33 km/h with 6% cloud cover when Sri Lanka takes on Bangladesh on Thursday.

The condition will suit the pacers upfront as spinners might find it difficult in the first innings of the match. Batting second will be ideal in the stadium and anything above 165 can be considered as a good score.
