Australia white-ball stars set for Shield splash

In a recent development, a lineup of Australia's white-ball maestros are poised to make a significant splash in the upcoming round of the Sheffield Shield. Wade, previously engaged in T20I commitments for Australia, last appeared in the Shield early this season, playing a stellar 105 runs knock in a brilliant chase against Queensland.

Meanwhile, Victoria welcome back Matthew Short from his New Zealand series stint. However, one notable absentee from Victoria's lineup is Glenn Maxwell. Despite having Test cricket ambitions and being on the radar for the Sri Lanka tour, Maxwell won't be donning the Victorian colours this week. His last red-ball appearance dates back to a one-off game for Warwickshire in July.

In Western Australia, the return of Josh Inglis for his first Shield appearance this season promises to be a headline event. However, the state will miss the services of Aaron Hardie, sidelined due to an ongoing calf issue that has plagued him since the last match against Tasmania.
