In a move aimed at bolstering the coaching staff of the Bangladesh national cricket team, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has officially confirmed the appointment of David Hemp as the batting coach and Andre Adams as the bowling coach. The duo will be joining on two-year contracts and is set to kick off their tenure with the upcoming home series against Sri Lanka.

David Hemp, who has been at the helm as the High Performance (HP) Head Coach since May 2023, is no stranger to the national team, having previously served as its batting coach during the New Zealand tour last year. Bringing a wealth of experience, Hemp, holding an ECB Level 4 Coaching Certification, boasts a remarkable first-class career, amassing over 15,500 runs for Glamorgan, Free State, and Warwickshire. With 24 ODIs for Bermuda under his belt, he also led the Pakistan Women's National Team from 2020 to 2022.

Andre Adams, the former New Zealand all-rounder, will be taking charge as the bowling coach for the Bangladesh team. Having represented New Zealand in 47 matches across formats, Adams comes with an extensive coaching background. He previously served as the bowling coach for the New Zealand White Ferns and had notable roles with New South Wales Blues in the Australian Sheffield Shield and as Australia's assistant coach in the 2022-23 series against South Africa.
