Star Australian batter David Warner was recently caught up in a series of bizarre events after he was stopped by security at the Los Angeles airport. The 36-year-old was passing through security with his wife Candice Warner after attending the recent wedding of actor Dominic Purcell and Miley Cyrus' mother, Tish Cyrus.

However, Warner was stopped and searched after an adverse result from one of the machines. While Candice passed through security without any trouble, David was stopped after the machine beeped, and when he was taken for a full body scan, it was his private parts that prevented him from going through.

Warner’s wife came forward to bring light to the situation and stated how everyone around was laughing, and a medical professional even suspected David had piercings, which might be the reason the machine was providing such results.

“So the security man came up to him and said, 'look, we are going to have to sort this out'. But I don't understand what is going on downstairs or what is going on with my husband's package,” Candice Warner said on Australian radio station Triple M.

She also talked of Dr Sam, Triple M's medical expert suggesting possible piercings, to which Candice replied, “No, no, there's no piercings.”

However, the situation was eventually sorted out, and both David and Candice Warner were allowed to fly back to Sydney. It is worth noting that the wedding of Dominic Purcell and Miley Cyrus' mother, Tish Cyrus, was held in Malibu, California, on Saturday, August 19, and was attended by all three Cyrus kids, including Miley. Furthermore, the wedding happened a year after Tish Cyrus filed for divorce from her long-time husband, Billy Ray Cyrus.

Speaking of Warner’s on-field performances, the veteran has been unable to find his form for quite some time now. However, considering his experience in the sport, he would be one of the front-runners to make it into the Australian squad for the upcoming ODI World Cup 2023 which is scheduled to begin on October 5.
