The defending champion Gujarat Titans will take on the Chennai Super Kings in the IPL 2023 final.  Gill demolished MI's bowling lineup and hammered his third ton of the competition. Shubman Gill blasted 129 runs in 60 balls, slamming seven fours and ten big sixes. Gill has 851 runs in 16 innings with an astounding average of 60.79 and a strike rate of 156.43 in the 16th edition of the Indian Premier League. He remains just 122 runs short of Virat Kohli's record 973-run aggregate in the 2016 edition of the renowned competition.

Former cricketer turned analyst Aakash Chopra affirmed Deepak Chahar could be the sole concern for Gujarat Titans (GT) opener Shubman Gill in the IPL 2023 final against the Chennai Super Kings. In a video posted to his YouTube channel, Chopra questioned whether Gill might surpass Kohli's record. He predicts the opener to be outstanding again if he tackles Chahar's new-ball pressure.

"This guy (Gill) is batting differently. He is not the crowned prince, he has already become the king. Can he break Kohli's 900-plus season's record? He will have to again score 122 runs for that. He has struck three centuries in his last four innings," Chopra said on his youtube channel, Cricket ki Chapaul.

Gill is an extremely mighty player: Aakash Chopra

In their Qualifier 1 match, Gill was sent off by Chahar, although with the old ball. The classy opener scored 63 and 42 runs, respectively in GT's previous two 2023 matches against CSK and would want to perform even better in the title final.

"The only problem that he has is the law of averages. Other than that, no one can stop this guy. If he can manage the new ball at the start, which he can do, Deepak Chahar is the only threat, but if he manages him, this player will hit again. He is an extremely mighty player," Chopra added.

MS Dhoni is all set to be part of history yet again on Sunday when his team Chennai Super Kings faces Gujarat Titans at the Narendra Modi Stadium for the 16th edition of the Indian Premier League Final. The 41-year-old former India captain has already led Chennai to 4 IPL titles and will be looking to lead the Yellow Army to MI's record-equalling 5th title.
