Brett Lee is one of the most lethal bowlers ever to have graced the sport in the history. The Australian is manned alongside their best pacer Glenn McGrath and was the most sought-after bowler in his era. He clocked the second-fastest delivery after Pakistan’s Shoaib Akhtar, missing it by a margin of 0.2 kmph. The former pacer has picked 380 wickets in ODIs, 310 wickets in Tests, and 28 wickets in T20Is.

The 47-year-old in an exclusive conversation with CricTracker revealed his fitness mantra on the lines of the ongoing World Championship of Legends 2024 tournament. He is one of the few players from his generation to have played in IPL, and he continues to associate with the tournament as a broadcaster. He asserted that the two-month stay in India during the cash-rich league has provided him the opportunity to train and turn up fresh for the games.

“I think what we (retired cricketers) try and do is just be the best versions of us, and we work hard on our fitness. For me personally, it's hard being a pilot to run in. You've got to be super fit, but also too, it's about having the time, I've done that throughout the IPL, I had two and a half months in India where I had opportunity to train, and I knew this (WCL 2024) was coming up, so I wanted to make sure I was nice and fresh for it,” Lee revealed exclusively.
