Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) have set some stern standards for T20 batting in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL). They scored 277 against Mumbai Indians in Hyderabad to set a record and broke it within days as they racked up 287/3 against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on April 15.
It was SRH opener Travis Head's fiery knock that propelled them to a humongous total against RCB. Known for his aggressive stroke play, the Aussie batter was ruthless right from the start and smashed his maiden century in the IPL. Head scored 102 runs off just 41 balls including nine fours and eight sixes.
The southpaw once again set the stage for devastating batters like Heinrich Klaasen and Aiden Markram to demolish RCB's bowling unit. Meanwhile, former India cricketer Aakash Chopra lauded Head and his opening partner Abhishek Sharma for giving SRH a blistering start.

My heart for once was a little relieved: Aakash Chopra
The cricketer-turned-commentator made an interesting comment that he was relieved that Head unleashed his beast mode against a team that didn't have an Indian to its name.
"Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma only hit from both ends nowadays. A well at one end a ditch at the other, the bowlers were getting beaten up like drums from both ends. They kept hitting. My heart for once was a little relieved," Chopra said on his YouTube channel.
"The relief was not because RCB were getting hit but it was the first time Head hit a team that didn't have Indian in their name. One was an Indian team on 19th November (ODI World Cup final) and the other were the Mumbai Indians. I thought he hated the Indian name but this time he hit Bengaluru. He gave a headache as well as a heartache," the former KKR batter added.

The visitors registered a 25-run victory after restricting Faf du Plessis and Co. to 262/7. Virat Kohli and the RCB skipper came out all guns blazing but the SRH bowlers picked quick wickets and took control of the game. The Chinnaswamy crowd had theirs hopes alive with Dinesh Karthik (83 off 35 balls) playing like a dream, but in the end, it was dashed by lack of proper support.
