The day is used as a medium to spread awareness about the disease related to a blood disorder. Furthermore, Nabi also stated that the hospital would have a specialised department for the treatment of Thalassemia patients as reported by TOLOnews.
Being a genetic blood disorder that affects many Afghan citizens, Nabi stressed the importance of providing the best healthcare to the citizens and also raising awareness about the disease. Notably, the disease is a genetic disorder, whereby the production of haemoglobin is lesser than usual.

Being one of the best players in the history of the country, Mohammad Nabi has been quite active as the voice of concern and the advocate for social causes in Afghanistan for quite some time.
The building of the hospital would be a step in the right direction for the healthcare sector of the country, which has been struggling for quite a few years now. Lack of resources, years of conflict, and even a lack of medical professionals have ridden the country and drained it of its resources.
Apart from Nabi, several Afghan athletes and celebrities also came forward in support of the initiative. With the joint support of the public and private sectors in the building of the hospital, the initiative could go a long way towards improving the healthcare situation in Afghanistan.
