Pakistan pace spearhead Haris Rauf is all set to tie the knot later this month, as per multiple reports. It is understood that Haris will start a new innings in his personal life as he is to marry his former fellow classmate.

Adding to this, the 29-year-old has already joined his family in Islamabad for the festivities which is tentatively to commence between December 24-28. The name of the bride is yet to be revealed along with the official confirmation of the wedding news.

The pace spearhead, who made his debut in the ongoing three-match Test series against England, was ruled out due to an injury he picked up. The first Test match held in Rawalpindi marked his debut with the national side during which he endured a thigh injury. Haris had stepped on the ball while fielding on the first day of the red-ball contest and picked up a grade two strain in his right quad which eventually kept him on the sidelines.

He made his appearance felt in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) draft for the forthcoming season before flying to his family in the residence city. The pacer will continue to don the Lahore Qalandars outfit in the upcoming edition as he has been since 2019.

England clinch Test series against Pakistan

Speaking about the Test match between the Three Lions and Pakistan, the former clinched the third and final red-ball contest and thereby registered a 3-0 whitewash away from home. Despite the massive result, both the heavyweights are out of the running for a spot in the summit clash of the ICC World Test Championship 2021-23 cycle.

Pakistan had fair chances of making it to the finals prior to the three-match red-ball series but was dented by the Three Lions winning all fixtures. Furthermore, arch-rivals India and Australia have registered wins in their respective bilateral series against Bangladesh and South Africa which has ended the Babar Azam-led side of any chances of progressing further.
