Former Pakistan cricketer Danish Kaneria has been recently catching many headlines with his quotes and opinions on various topics. Recently, the 42-year-old has done something similar, as he came forward to urge the Prime Minister of India and the BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) for help.
Coming forward, Kaneria asked PM Narendra Modi and the BCCI to help him remove the lifetime ban that was imposed on him by the ECB (England and Wales Cricket Board) in 2012 for spot-fixing.
“I would like to appeal to Prime Minister Modi and the BCCI to help me remove the ban that was imposed on me by the ECB,” Danish Kaneria was quoted as saying by AajTak.

Speaking of Pakistan, the Men in Green are currently competing at the ODI World Cup 2023, and it is safe to say that the side have been unable to put their foot on the pedal completely. Having played five games in the tournament so far, the Babar Azam-led side has only managed to win two.
Their latest clash at the tournament was against Afghanistan, both sides faced each other in the 22nd game of the competition. Batting first, Pakistan got off to a good start to the game as Abdullah Shafique opened the innings with a knock of 58 runs. Furthermore, Babar Azam scored 74 runs in 92 balls, and with Shadab Khan and Iftikhar Ahmed adding 40 runs each to the board, Pakistan managed to post a total of 282 runs on the board.
Aiming to defend the target, the Men in Green failed to perform with the ball. Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Ibrahim Zadran’s brilliant knocks helped Afghanistan chase down the target and win the game by eight wickets.
