India's veteran pacer Jhulan Goswami is set to retire from the international arena after playing the three-match ODI series against England. The right-arm pacer is set to end her career as the highest wicket-taker in the Women's international arena. She has represented India in 12 Tests, 201 ODIs and 68 T20Is and has 44, 251 and 56 wickets respectively.

Meanwhile, India men's skipper Rohit Sharma has paid a heartfelt tribute to the veteran pacer and said that he faced troubles facing Goswami in the nets. Rohit went on to say that Goswami shocked him with her impressive in-swing bowling.

I had a few interactions with her when I was injured at NCA: Rohit on Jhulan Goswami

"I had a few interactions with her when I was injured at NCA. She was also there and she was bowling to me. And I was challenged by her in-swinger. So, there was lots of interaction there. She was asking for some stuff and I was telling her some stuff," said Rohit in a press conference ahead of India's upcoming series against Australia at home.

"Whenever I have seen her play, she has shown so much passion for playing for the country. I don't know how old she is, but even at this stage, she is running in hard and trying to knock the opposition out and that tells you something. So, it tells you the passion she has. I can only wish her the best. She is a once-in-a-generation player," he added.

Goswami is part of the India's playing XI facing England in the first ODI match, at the County Ground, Hove. The veteran pacer bowled excellently well during the first innings as she gave away just 20 runs in her ten-over quota and scalped one wicket. Her efforts helped the Women in Blue to restrict the home team to just 227/7 in their allotted 50 overs.
