How much prize money will Pakistan and England get in ODI World Cup 2023?

The ODI World Cup 2023 campaigns of both Pakistan and England came to an end after both sides failed to make it to the knockout stages of the tournament and got eliminated in the group stages.

However, many will be wondering how much prize money both sides will be getting after their lackluster performances in the tournament. It is worth noting that Pakistan will receive $40,000 for each group stage victory and $100,000 for being eliminated in the group stages. In total, Pakistan will walk away with a prize of $260,000.

On the other hand, England will also be getting $40,000 for each group stage victory and $100,000 for elimination in the group stages. In total, England will receive $220,000 after their World Cup 2023 campaign.

Talking of their performances in the World Cup, England came into the tournament as the defending champions. Led by Jos Buttler, everyone had high expectations of the side. However, the team seemingly could not handle the pressure that they were put through. 

Playing nine games in the tournament, England only managed to register victories in three matches and lost the remaining six. With just one match left in the group stage overall, the defending champions sit in seventh place in the standings with six points in nine games. 

On the other hand, the hope was Pakistan was still alive until the end. The Men in Green had to beat the defending champions by a huge margin in order to make it to fourth place in the standings and qualify for the semi-finals. 

Led by Babar Azam, Pakistan finished their campaign in fifth place in the standings with eight points in nine games. The side managed to win four matches and lost the remaining five. With lacklustre performances from both sides in the tournament, both Pakistan and England will shift their focus on their respective upcoming games, and strive to do better.
