The Border-Gavaskar Trophy has once again lived up to its billing. After India dominated the first two Tests of the series, Australia made a thrilling comeback in the third Test after sensational performances by Matthew Kuhnemann and Nathan Lyon.

Ahead of the series decider in Ahmedabad, Steve Smith, who led the Aussies in Pat Cummins’ absence, was once again seen inspecting the pitch ahead of the match. The pitches have been a controversial topic throughout the series, and especially after the pitch that was curated in Indore, it seems likely that the surface could once again be a deciding factor in the game.

A spot in the World Test Championship final is at stake for team India. They lead the series 2-1 and will be keen on winning the series decider and book their spot in the WTC final.

Aussie stars reflect upon playing at the Narendra Modi Stadium

The fourth and final Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy will be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Everything is at stake for the teams, Australia look towards a potential comeback to draw the series, and the hosts will look towards a win in the series decider to book their spot in the WTC final. The stars of the Australian team gear up for the series decider and even reflect on what it could be like to face India in front of a huge crowd.

"If those rumours come through, it's going to be bloody loud. It's exciting. The biggest crowd I've ever played in front of is 92,500 at the Ashes in 2013–14. We've got the chance to blow that. I don't think there'll be many other people who can say they would have played in front of a bigger crowd than that," Nathan Lyon said on the Unplayable Podcast.

Todd Murphy also opined on playing at the Narendra Modi Stadium. "I haven't dealt with heaps of big crowds back home, so I've come over here with the mindset of just enjoying it and embracing what comes with India," Murphy was quoted as saying by Cricket Australia.
