CWC 2023 LIVE Updates | ODI World Cup 2023 Live Score Updates on India vs Bangladesh, Match 17

Durga Panchami ends with India winning by five wickets against Bangladesh. On top of that, India have been sensational in all three points and with that, they once again moved to the top of the table. Thank you for joining us today, see ya all with a big match tomorrow!

"Sorry for stealing it (PoTM award) from Jaddu, I wanted to make a big contribution. I have had a few fifties in World Cups, haven't really converted them. I just wanted to finish the game off this time around and hang on till the end which is what I have done over the years for the team. I was telling Shubman, even if you dream about a situation like that, you'll just go back to sleep, you won't think it's real. It was a dream start for me, first four balls, two free-hits, a six and a four. Just calms you down gets you into the innings. The pitch was pretty good and it allowed me to play my game - just time the ball, hit the gaps, run hard and get the boundaries whenever needed. There's a great atmosphere in the change room, we are loving each others' company, the spirit is there for everyone to see on the field. That's why it's translating like that on the field. We understand it's a long tournament, you need to create some momentum in the change room for the guys to come out and play like this. It's a special feeling playing at home, playing in front of all these people, we just want to make the most of it," Kohli said.

"It was a good win, something we were looking forward to. We didn't start well, but the guys pulled it back in the middle-overs and at the back-end. Our fielding has been superb in all these matches, it's something that's in your control, you can put in your best effort. The bowlers were smart to understand what lengths to bowl. Jaddu was brilliant with the ball and the catch, but you can't beat a hundred. We're doing well as a group, a medal for all performances in the playing field and that's something which motivates everyone to do well. He (Hardik) pulled up a bit sore, nothing really major. We'll see how he pulls up tomorrow morning and then plan on how to go forward. Everyone in the squad has gone through pressure, the crowd is coming in big numbers, the stands are full, they haven't disappointed us, they've been brilliant and I'm sure they'll be louder and louder as we move on," Rohit said.

"India are always a very good side, a very capable team and they showed it today. All teams are good, but I think we didn't play our best cricket, hopefully, we'll play better in the future. He's going on well (on Shakib), should be fit for the next match.Tanzid batted well, so did our bowlers, the problem is we didn't finish well with the bat. Would have been a different ball-game had Litton stayed a bit longer, the batting group has to take up responsibility," Shanto said.

" I think wicket looks very good, there was no turn on the wicket, if we play simple cricket, we can chase it. The celebration was dedicated to our fielding coach. After every game, we get best fielder award and so I wanted to show the fielding coach, see I am here. I would say flat wicket, ball was coming nicely onto the bat, hopefully our batters can bat well in the middle and chase it down. You have to bowl into the stumps, there is nothing on the wicket for the spinners, so you have to bowl it tight," Jadeja said.

Bangladesh finish their innings with a cracking six as India need 257 runs to win their fourth game on the trot.

"It's very important for me to stick to my basics. Experience has been great, played my first (WC) match against Pakistan, great atmosphere. We have the right momentum with us having won three matches. We all know he (Rohit Sharma) is an aggressive batsman, has done so well for India, especially in World Cup matches. He is just carrying on with his form, he plays according to his instincts. It's a smaller ground and the wicket has been good. Hopefully we'll be able to get some good runs for our bowlers to defend. It's very important to play the middle overs well. If you areableto not too lose too many wickets, then you can really capitalize and have a big score," Gill said.

Rohit Sharma (c), Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul (wk), Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, Shardul Thakur, Kuldeep Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj

Litton Das, Tanzid Hasan, Najmul Hossain Shanto (c), Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Towhid Hridoy, Mushfiqur Rahim (wk), Mahmudullah, Nasum Ahmed, Hasan Mahmud, Mustafizur Rahman, Shoriful Islam

"I would have bowled first. It's working at this point of time, don't see any reason to change it. That's important in this WC, keeping everybody in good space. The boys are in good shape, good mental space as well and enjoying the cricket. So far so good, we want to continue this momentum, Same team," Rohit said.

"Proud moment for me and my family. We'd like to bat today. Looks a fresh wicket. If we put some good score, it'll be good for the team. He (Shakib) is struggling a bit, Nasum is coming in for him. We have some great memories against India, hopefully we continue our form. I hope it'll be a great match. We love to see the crowd, hopefully they'll support both teams. Hasan comes in for Taskin," Shanto said.

There were rumours of Mohammed Shami playing but Rohit Sharma clarified that they will play the same team.

Shakib Al Hasan and Taskin Ahmed misses out for Bangladesh.

Bangladesh won the toss and elected to bat first.

"It's a good pitch, has a history of lot of runs. It's a pitch where the seamers wouldn't mind bowling first up or maybe under lights as well. I don't see a turner. Definition of true pitch - you can bat really well, if you are a quality fast bowler, you get something out of it as well. It's a black soil pitch, there's grass covering which is not green. It'll hold the pitch nicely. High-scoring pitch for sure. I'll use the bouncer very regularly on this pitch. You can plays shots on the up. If anyone will get turn, it's Kuldeep Yadav," reckons Irdan Pathan and Sanjay Manjrekar.
