Veteran England pacer James Anderon is all set to hit yet another milestone in his star-studded career. The 41-year-old is currently with the English team in India as the side takes on the Rohit Sharma-led side in a five-game Test series.

Four matches of the series have already been played, and both sides are gearing up to face off at the HPCA Stadium in Dharamshala on March 7. The clash will be a special occasion for Anderson as it will be the veteran’s 400th international appearance.

The English pacer will become the 39th player to reach the milestone, with Sachin Tendulkar leading the charts with 664 appearances. To date, Anderson has featured for England in 186 Tests, 194 ODIs, and 19 T20Is, taking 985 wickets. The fifth Test against India will be his 187th Test match.

Anderson has several records to his name. He is the all-time leading wicket-taker among pace bowlers in Test cricket, with 698 wickets to his name. Furthermore, he only requires 11 more wickets to overtake the late Shane Warne’s tally.

England looking for a consolation win against India

Speaking of the ongoing series between India and England, both sides have engaged in grueling battles across the four Tests that have been played so far. England did win the first Test, gaining the lead in Hyderabad. However, the Indian team made a sensational comeback, winning the clashes in Vizag, Rajkot, and Ranchi.

Both sides will now face off in the final Test in Dharamshala, and despite having lost the series, England will aim to register a consolation win against India, as this could help them climb the standings of the ongoing World Test Championship cycle.

Ahead of the clash, several England cricketers, including James Anderson, were seen enjoying a recovery dip in Dharamshala. The stars visited the Dhauladhar mountain range, and accompanying Anderson were the likes of Zak Crawley and many others, as the cricketers enjoyed a special retreat ahead of the fifth Test.
