In light of workload management, Jasprit Bumrah was granted a break from the fourth Test against England in Ranchi. However, that didn’t hamper India’s incredible five-wicket win over the visitors, which eventually sealed the series in their favour. According to reports, Bumrah is slated to make his comeback in Dharamshala for the series' fifth and final match, with potential alterations to the playing XI by the team management, aimed at workload management for other players.

Notably, Rajat Patidar, who's had a series to forget so far, may end up getting one more opportunity. As per Cricbuzz, KL Rahul has been sent to London for treatment and is likely to miss the fifth Test as well. In such a scenario, Devdutt Padikkal may end up receiving his debut cap, while another batsman is anticipated to be rested for the same reason of workload management. If that happens, Patidar may end up batting at four. However, it is still unclear if the team management would give a break to any of the in-form batters.

As per reports, a bowler might get a break as well. Since the surface in Dharamshala is expected to favor the pacers, either Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, or Kuldeep Yadav could be rested.

On the other hand, after the Ranchi Test, all the Indian cricketers have flown back to their respective homes as the BCCI have asked them to assemble again on March 2 in Chandigarh. The England players have received the same communication as both teams are slated to fly to Dharamshala on March 3 via a chartered flight.

Harsha Bhogle tweets on Dharamshala weather

Meanwhile, the fifth Test is scheduled to commence on March 7, and ahead of that, renowned broadcaster Harsha Bhogle shared that the conditions will be extremely demanding for the players in the hill station. The temperature will drop to 2 degrees as there are chances of snow as well.

“I am due to go to Dharamshala in a week. I checked the forecast today and just reading that makes me shiver. Max temperature forecast for March 07 (at this stage, hopefully it will change) is 10°. Temperature forecast at 7 am is 2°! Snow??,” Bhogle tweeted.
