India’s star batter Virat Kohli unveiled an epic dance move after taking the catch of Glenn Phillips on the delivery of Shardul Thakur to give the fifth breakthrough to India in the ongoing third ODI between the hosts and New Zealand.

Phillips could have become really dangerous for India but before he could get his eye in Shardul got rid of him as he made Phillips go after a short ball and the miscued shot ended straight down the throat of Virat. Virat was understandably jubilant after watching the back of the dangerous Phillips and unveiled a dance move to rejoice the moment.

New Zealand are chasing a massive total of 386, as the Indian skipper Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill both scored tremendous centuries adding 212 runs for the first wicket. Rohit scored an ODI century after 2020, notching up 101 off 85 balls including nine fours and six sixes. On the other hand, Gill, the double centurion of the first ODI in Hyderabad, scored 112 off just 78 balls scoring 13 fours and five sixes. India posted a total of 385 for the loss nine wickets.

The 23-year-old is in red hot form at the moment, he scored 360 runs in the three-match series including a hundred and a double hundred at an average of 180.

Rohit also ended his century drought in ODIs after three years. He had last scored a hundred against Australia in January, 2020 where he had racked up 119 in the third ODI of the series. This is also the first international century for the Indian skipper after 2021 when he scored 127 in the fourth test against England at The Oval. Both India and New Zealand will now lock horns in a three-match T20I series starting January 27.
