Redemption will be on the minds of the Indian players when they take on the mighty Australian team at The Oval in the momentous 2023 World Test Championship (WTC) Final. While India claimed a memorable Test series victory against the Aussies earlier this year, Pat Cummins' side will be looking to re-establish themselves at the summit of red-ball cricket.

The Indian team, who lost the final of the inaugural edition of the tournament against the Kiwis, sealed their spot in the final after Sri Lanka's thrilling loss against holders New Zealand earlier this year. Meanwhile, a dominant Australian team made it to the final for the first time after narrowly missing out on the summit clash last time around.

While India will be looking to take inspiration from their triumph against the Aussies in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, they are missing a few key players for the titular clash due to unfortunate injuries. As if Rishabh Pant and Jasprit Bumrah's injury blows weren't bad enough for the Asian outfit, Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul's absence has further depleted the Indians.
