The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) secretary Jay Shah on Tuesday, April 11, took to social media to confirm that the women's national cricket team would be allotted a ‘full-fledged’ support staff. He further added that various positions of the support staff will soon be advertised in order to bolster the unit.

The Women in Blue have relished various different honours in the sport in top-level competitions. The side has won the ACC Asia Cup a record seven times, clinched the silver medal in the Commonwealth Games in 2022, runners up twice in the ODI World Cup and once in the T20 World Cup in 2020.

While the team led by Harmanpreet Kaur is pushing boundaries and creating a benchmark in world cricket, the BCCI too, is leaving no stones unturned to reinforce the management and the setup.
