"Thank you, Honourable Prime Minister @narendramodi ji, for your condolence message on the sad demise of my father. This gesture means a lot to me and my family," Yadav wrote regarding the letter.

Meanwhile, Umesh Yadav had a terrific outing with the ball in the third Test. During the first innings he scalped 3 wickets in just 5 overs of his bowling spell along with an impressive economy of 2.40. Cameron Green, Mitchell Starc and Todd Murphy were his victims. Worth mentioning the wicket of Starc who stood in disbelief as his stumps went on a cartwheel journey.

However, his bowling spell could not helped the side much due to a poor batting display by Indian side in the second innings as well. In the end, team India lost the Test match by 9 wickets to Australia. Currently, India are leading the Border-Gavaskar Test series by 2-1.
