IPL 2023: JioCinema releases list of commentators ahead of T20 carnival

The 16th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 is scheduled to begin on March 31, and fans are buzzing with excitement as the world’s best cricketers take on each other in arguably the world’s biggest T20 tournament.
With the start of the tournament, the companies holding the digital and streaming rights of the competition are once again going head-to-head with each other. JioCinema and Star Sports will both be airing and streaming the IPL 2023 on their respective platforms and channels. Both companies will also host a multitude of different commentators as the competition commences.
Recently, JioCinema came forward to release its list of commentators for the forthcoming edition of the IPL. They will have commentary available in many languages, including English, Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, Bhojpuri, Bengali, Oriya, Malayalam, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, and Punjabi as well.
Many big names from the cricketing world will be part of the commentary teams in their various languages. The likes of Chris Gayle and AB de Villiers will be part of the English commentary team, whereas, Zaheer Khan, Suresh Raina, and Anil Kumble will be a part of the Hindi commentary team.
Kedar Jadhav and Dhawal Kulkarni will be a part of the Marathi team, whereas Hanuma Vihari will feature as one of the Telugu commentators.
Chennai Super Kings take on Gujarat Titans in season opener
As the 16th edition of the IPL gets underway, the season opener of the competition will see the defending champions Gujarat Titans take on the MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings on Friday, March 31 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
The Hardik Pandya-led Gujarat will be keen on repeating their performances from the 2022 season, where the side went on to win its first IPL title in their very first season. Chennai, on the other hand, will also be desperate to improve their performances from IPL 2022, as they finished ninth in the points table with eight points in 14 games.
