POTM Sunil Narine said:
"Cricket is all about batting, so to contribute with the bat is pleasing but I also enjoy my bowling. (On batting down the order with Abu Dhabi Knight Riders) We had sufficient batters, so opening was not needed then. At the end of the day, it is about what the team requires. Batting with Salt is good, he takes the pressure off me so it's good to bat with him. On a good wicket like that, we bowled well and were on the money, so a total team effort from us tonight," Narine said.
Winning skipper Shreyas Iyer said:
"No, it it didn't to be honest, we thought we will reach 210-220 but 270 was an icing on the cake. I said in a pre-match interview that Sunny's job is to take us off to a good start, if he doesn't get us off, that's also okay. (On Raghuvanshi) He was fearless from ball one, his work ethic is phenomenal, the way he played his shots were pleasing to the eye. It's great to see all the bowlers stepping up at the right time and capitalizing on the opportunities. (On Harshit Rana's injury) I also don't know, on the field he was holding his shoulder. I have been in that situation before. Vaibhav Arora took crucial wickets for us, he stood up for us tonight," Iyer said.
Losing skipper Rishabh Pant said:
"We were just all over the place (with the ball), we could have done better, and it is one of those days I feel. As a batting unit, we talked about going hard (after the target) and that's how we approach these games because it is better to be all-out trying to go for the total than not chase it down. It was quite loud (the venue) and couldn't see the timer on the screen (talking about the non-DRS moments) and there was some issue with the screen as well, there are some things you can control and some you cannot control, you just need to go with the flow. Time to reflect better as a team, as an individual and come back strong in the next game. I am enjoying each and every day (talking about his fitness and comeback) and cricket has its own ups and downs, and at the same time you can try and give your best as an individual," Pant said.
KKR WIN BY 106 RUNS
KKR remain undefeated in the ongoing season as they defeated Delhi Capitals by 106 runs. Andre Russell picked up the final wicket as Shahrukh Khan gave the team a standing ovation after the win. Brilliant performance from the team.

DC are 129/6 after 13 overs.
After two back-to-back defeats to start the Indian Premier League (IPL 2024), Delhi Capitals (DC) managed to get back into winning ways as they defeated Chennai Super Kings in their last match. Skipper Rishabh Pant hit a half-century while the opening pair of David Warner and Prithvi Shaw was brilliant, giving the team the right momentum. Later on, Mukesh Kumar and Khaleel Ahmed stole the show with the ball, as DC defeated CSK by 20 runs.
That should give them a lot of confidence but facing Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in their next match wonβt be an easy task. The Shreyas Iyer-led side is playing some brilliant cricket as they have won both their matches so far in IPL 2024. The opening pair of Phil Salt and Sunil Narine has been a massive hit while Venkatesh Iyer's return to form is a positive sign for the team.
Skipper Iyer too showed glimpses of his class in their last match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) which is also a good sign for the team. When it comes to the bowlers, Harshit Rana has been the standout performer. He has picked up wickets with the new ball and has done well in the middle overs too. Meanwhile, Andre Russell has been a force to reckon with as the West Indies international has been phenomenal with both bat and bowl and keeps up with it, KKR can dream of winning their third title in history.
