Winning skipper and POTM Shubman Gill said:
"It's just a cramp, nothing more. When you have so many people supporting you, it gets much easier. Loved the freeness of it, we didn't have targets in mind, we maximised every over and opportunity in front of us. We have a good camaraderie between us, we run the twos, we understand each other well. In terms of numbers, definitely it is [our best opening partnerships]. Mohit bhai has done it for us in the last couple of years and has done it tremendously for us. He was a revelation for us, one or two bad games happen. Honestly at one point 250 was for the taking and we fell short. IN the last two-three overs they bowled well. I though we were 10-15 short not in terms of the match but in terms of net run rate," Gill said.
Losing skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad said:
"Our fielding let us down, we gave away 10-15 runs extra I think, execution wise we were good, but they played some really good shots. You can't control batters when they playing so well and going good. It's real quick, we got to fly quick and we have a tough game in Chennai, so we got to turn up well there as well," Gaikwad said.

Gujarat Titans (GT) will look to keep their mathematical chance of reaching the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 playoffs alive when they take on Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the colossal Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Friday, May 10.
Gujarat are languishing at the bottom of the table, having won only four out of their 11 games in IPL 2024. They are coming in to this clash on the back of three consecutive defeats. Two of those losses came against Royal Challengers Bengaluru, while the other one was against Delhi Capitals. Shubman Gill and Co. need to win all three of their remaining matches and will also need to improve their paltry net run-rate (NRR) of -1.320 in order to entertain hopes of reaching the top four. Even if they win their remaining games, others results will also have to go their way.
Sai Sudharsan has been the most consistent batter, but last year's Orange Cap winner Shubman Gill has failed to stamp his authority. David Miller has played a few good knocks, but the consistency he showed in the last couple of seasons has been missing. The bowling department has been hampered by the absence of Mohammed Shami and the indifferent form of Rashid Khan. Mohit Sharma's performances have also tapered off after a promising start to the season.
Meanwhile, Chennai's stop-start campaign sees them positioned at No. 4 on the points table with six wins and five losses from 11 matches. They are well in contention for a playoffs berth and their 28-run win against Punjab Kings would have given them a lot of confidence.
New CSK captain Ruturaj Gaikwad is second on the list of leading run-getters for the season. Shivam Dube has scored golden ducks in his last two games. However, he has had a phenomenal campaign overall and will look to fire on all cylinders on Friday. CSK are already without Mustafizur Rahman, their highest wicket-taker of the season thus far. The Bangladeshi speedster has left for his national commitments. Matheesha Pathirana's injury is also a cause of concern. Ruturaj will hope that the Sri Lankan pacer recovers quickly.
Probable Playing XI:
Gujarat Titans - Wriddhiman Saha (WK), Shubman Gill (C), Sai Sudarshan, Azmatullah Omarzai, Shahrukh Khan, David Miller, Rahul Tewatia, Rashid Khan, Ravisrinivasan Sai Kishore, Noor Ahmad, Sandeep Warrier
Chennai Super Kings - Ajinkya Rahane, Ruturaj Gaikwad (C), Daryl Mitchell, Shivam Dube, Sameer Rizvi, Moeen Ali, Ravindra Jadeja, MS Dhoni (WK), Mitchell Santner, Shardul Thakur, Tushar Deshpande
