Put into bat first, Sunrisers Hyderabad posted 173/8 from 20 overs. Just like their last game against Kolkata Knight Riders, MI bowlers gave it their all with the bat. Travis Head was the top scorer with 48 runs while Pat Cummins ended the innings with 35 not out.
For the home team, it was skipper Hardik Pandya and Piyush Chawla who did the damage with the ball with three wickets each. Anshul Kamboj picked one wicket on his IPL debut while Jasprit Bumrah was his economical self.

SRH skipper Pat Cummins employed Test Match fields as the three seamers dismissed the top three Mumbai Indians batters. Ishan Kishan fell for 9 while Rohit Sharma’s alarming form continued when he was out for. Naman Dhir could only score a duck to leave his side in deep trouble.

Mumbai Indians players and fans found their voices again as Suryakumar Yadav started to attack the Hyderabad bowlers. The best shot of the first eight overs was a straight drive down the ground against Marco Jansen to leave the crowd gasping.

India’s leading T20 batter Suryakumar Yadav batted well once again to reach his 25th IPL fifty and his second in successive games. There was one moment in the game where the 33-year-old seemed in trouble as far as fitness is concerned and had a grimace on his face.

By the time the second time-out came into play, it almost looked as if the SRH bowlers and fielders had given up. The pair of Suryakumar Yadav and Tilak Varma took the team to comfort as MI just needed 25 runs from 4 overs left to play with both batters playing well.
Century: Suryakumar Yadav off 51 balls
Just when his team needed it, Suryakumar Yadav stood up and played an innings to remember. The 33-year-old scored his 2nd IPL century and got to the mark with a sumptuous six off T Natarajan much to the delight of the crowd.
End of the Match: Mumbai Indians -174/3 from 17.2 overs
Mumbai Indians and its fans finally heaved a sigh of relief as they won their 4th game of the season. The win came with 16 balls left to play as SKY hit a six not only to reach his ton but also his MI win by 6 wickets and get to ninth place in the table.
