The Mumbai Indians broke their streak of four consecutive losses with a dominant 99-run win at the Narendra Modi Stadium against the Gujarat Titans in Match 30 of the 2026 Indian Premier League.

Being put into bat, the Mumbai Indians rode to 199/5 courtesy Tilak Varma's brilliant unbeaten century. They found themselves reeling at 46/3 at the end of the powerplay as Kagiso Rabada's blistering three-over spell saw him dismiss debutant Danish Malewar, Quinton de Kock and Suryakumar Yadav to provide early hiccups to the visitors.

Tilak played second fiddle to Naman Dhir as the pair rebuilt the Mumbai Indians' innings. Dhir fell for 45, but Tilak carried on. After scoring just 19 runs off his first 22 balls, he scored 82 runs off his next 23 balls and reached his century off the final ball of the innings.

The five-time champions carried that momentum into their bowling innings and were handed an early boost as Jasprit Bumrah, taking the new ball, dismissed Sai Sudharsan off the first ball of the innings. This was Bumrah's first wicket of the 2026 season. Skipper Hardik Pandya dismissed Jos Buttler in the next over, and Shubman Gill fell to Ashwani Kumar in the fifth over.

Mitchell Santner dismissed Washington Sundar and Glenn Phillips in the eighth over, leaving the Titans reeling at 55/5. Ashwani picked up three more, finishing with match figures of 4/24, and Allah Ghazanfar picked up the final two wickets as the Titans were bundled out for just 100 runs. The win was the Mumbai Indians' first in four games and took them up to seventh in the table, with a significant net-run rate boost.

This was also their first win at the Narendra Modi Stadium, a venue where they have failed to win since 2022.
