Pakistan secured a dominant six-wicket triumph over Ireland in the third T20I clash, seizing the series 2-1 in their favour on Tuesday. Opting to field first, the Men in Green restricted the hosts to a modest 178 for seven. Shaheen Afridi bowled a brilliant four-over spell, conceding just 14 runs and claiming three crucial wickets. Imad Wasim also contributed with a wicket, remaining economical by conceding only 23 runs in his four overs quota.
In their chase, Pakistan efficiently pursued the target within 17 overs, propelled by stellar displays from Mohammad Rizwan (56 off 38) and Babar Azam (75 off 42). Despite the commendable efforts of Ireland’s interim skipper, Lorcan Tucker (73 off 41), Pakistan's victory overshadowed his valiant innings.
Babar exhibited his batting mastery by smashing four sixes in a single over at the Clontarf Cricket Club Ground in Dublin. Facing Ireland’s leg-spinner Benjamin White in the 14th over of the innings, Babar demonstrated his dominance from the outset by lofting the first delivery over long-on to notch his half-century. Sustaining his aggressive stance, the Pakistan captain smashed the subsequent ball for another maximum, applying immense pressure on the bowler.

The third delivery showcased Babar’s ability to capitalize on loose deliveries, as he dispatched it over deep mid-wicket with formidable power despite White’s efforts to outfox him with pace. Although he missed connecting with the fourth ball, Babar showcased his skill by dispatching the fifth ball over cow corner for a towering six. The over concluded with a single towards deep square leg, accumulating a total of 25 runs.

Azam Khan also played a pivotal role with an explosive 18 runs off six balls. In the 17th over, the 25-year-old hammered two consecutive sixes off Mark Adair. Notably, Azam had also impressed with a quickfire 30 runs off just ten balls in the previous encounter of the series.
