Team Pakistan completed a resounding victory over arch-rivals India in their first Super Four match played at the Dubai International Stadium on September 4 (Sunday). Star all-rounder Mohammad Nawaz was adjudged player of the match for his crucial contribution with both bat and the ball.

The Men in Green after winning their first Super Four fixture are now clear favorites to enter the final. Team India on the other hand will need to win their next two matches against both Sri Lanka and Afghanistan if they want to enter the finals. Meanwhile, former India batter Wasim Jaffer has given his opinion on the matter.

If India doesn't win their next two matches then the qualifications for the final match will be tough: Wasim Jaffer

Speaking on Bat Bricks7 presents Run ki Raneeti, Wasim Jaffer said, "I think India needs to win both matches against Sri Lanka and Afghanistan because if they don't then the qualifications for the final match will be tough. Pakistan has won one already so they need to win only one. It is most likely that both India and Pakistan will face each other in the Asia Cup finals."

Talking about India vs Pakistan match, Pakistan won the toss and opted to have a bowl first. Team India got off to a perfect start with their openers stitching a 50+ run partnership. Former Indian skipper Virat Kohli also played an excellent knock of 60 runs in just 44 balls as team India crossed the 180-run mark in their allotted 20 overs.

In reply, Pakistan had a poor start as their skipper failed yet again. However, some excellent batting from Mohammad Rizwan and Nawaz brought Pakistan back into the contest and some late hitting blitz from Khushdil Shah and Asif Ali sealed the game for the Men in Green. For India, leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi was the pick of the bowlers as he gave away just 26 runs in his four overs and scalped one big wicket of skipper Babar.
