Indian star pacer Jasprit Bumrah has not only redefined fast bowling but has also become a source of inspiration and learning for his coaches and teammates alike. Since his comeback from injury last August, the right-arm quick has been instrumental in Team India's success across all formats.

His exceptional performance in the recent T20 World Cup, where he was named Player of the Tournament, took his stature from being a solid bowler to one of the world's best bowlers.

The coaching staff, led by Rahul Dravid, had played a crucial role in managing Bumrah's workload, ensuring he remains at peak fitness for key assignments. India's departing bowling coach, Paras Mhambrey provided insight into what makes the 30-year-old so special.

"I don't think I have had to do much with him. I would love to say that I've worked on him a lot as a bowling coach. What better than Bumrah performing and I taking the credit? But I don't. I've said in the past... he is a once-in-a-generation bowler. India has produced great bowlers, and more will come, but Bumrah is a once-in-a-generation bowler in all three formats," he told Vimal Kumar in an interview.

Bumrah's ability to read game situations and adapt accordingly sets him apart from the rest of the bowlers. Often in crunch moments, the skipper always throws the bowl at Bumrah to take the team out of the tricky situation.

"Be it the red ball, ODI, or T20I, he is No1. He has exceptional skills. He understands how bowling well, has clear plans. When I talk to him, I realise that he has a very clear mindset and knows what he is going to do. He understands when a batter is uncomfortable facing him. He then tries to exploit the situation. He will pick up small nuances to guess what the batter is trying to do," he added.
