London Spirit all-rounder Deepti Sharma is fairly confident ahead of the Eliminator clash against Oval Invincibles in the ongoing Women’s Hundred 2024. Notably, the two teams squared off twice in the season, the first of which ended on level terms while Oval clinched a comfortable eight-wicket win in the second game. Despite that, Deepti doesn’t feel pressured, particularly as her own performance against Oval has been incredible.

She scored 44 runs and picked up three wickets in the first game against Oval while scoring an unbeaten 46, which London lost by eight wickets. Ahead of the Eliminator, Deepti stated that the goal is to keep things simple and stick to the plan to be on the right side of the result. Notably, the winner of the game will qualify for the final and take on Welsh Fire on August 18.

“Because we are going to play a third game, I'm pretty sure what we have to do and what our plans are; very clear about that. Just keep it simple, that's what I always think. Just keep it simple, enjoying each and every game and express myself. That's what I've followed from day one,” Deepti told ESPNcricinfo.

Deepti opens up on sharing dressing room with Charlie Dean

Deepti became the talk of the town when she run-out Charlie Dean at the non-striker's end at Lord’s. The cricketing world was divided as Charlie and her skipper Meg Lanning were extremely unhappy with the development. However, two years later, all three of them are now sharing the dressing room in London and speaking about that, Deepti mentioned that she doesn’t think much about the past and focuses on the present and that they are good players and teammates.

“I forgot everything because when you are playing in the same team, I am someone who always forgets in-the-past things. I always (try to) be in the present, watch the moment and watch the matches that are going on. They are good players and good team-mates as well, so we were just gelled up every day and we are enjoying every moment in the team room or outside the team room.

"Meg is here... I was so excited because I always play against her, so I told her that I'm really excited to play in the same team. She's very, very cool. She always supports you whether she's batting or outside the ground. I like her nature,” Deepti said.
