In a tragic turn of events, Karnataka cricketer Hoysala K breathed his last after succumbing to a cardiac arrest on Thursday, February 22. The distressing incident unfolded on the cricket field during the Aegis South Zone tournament in Bengaluru, leaving the sports community in shock.
The 34-year-old cricketer collapsed on the field while competing against Tamil Nadu at the RSI ground in Bengaluru. Witnesses say the unexpected incident occurred as Hoysala was preparing to join his team for dinner. His sudden collapse prompted immediate attention from the on-site medical staff who swiftly administered CPR in a desperate bid to revive the cricketer.
Despite their best efforts, Hoysala failed to respond to the treatment, compelling a quick decision to rush him to Bowring Hospital in Bengaluru via ambulance. Family members were promptly notified of the unfolding emergency as the cricketer was transported to the hospital. Tragically, it was too late by the time Hoysala reached the hospital. Doctors, who conducted a thorough examination, declared him dead.

Hoysala was a vital cog of Shivamogga Lions in Karnataka Premier League
It is worthy to mention that Hoysala K was known for his cricketing prowess. The youngster had been a valuable asset to the Karnataka team in the U-25 category. His contributions also extended to the Karnataka Premier League, where he showcased his skills as part of the Shivamogga Lions.
Notably, a cricket fan through his 'X' handle, reported the tragic death of young Karnataka cricketer Hoysala K, stating that he collapsed and died from cardiac arrest during a post-match huddle in Bangalore.
