India cricketer Kedar Jadhav’s father, Mahadev Jadhav, was found by police hours after he went missing on Monday, March 27. The cricketer’s father was found in the Mundhwa area of Pune after a search operation began following a complaint lodged by Kedar at the Alankar police station.

As per reports, Kedar’s 75-year-old father suffers from dementia (a general term for memory loss). It is understood that Mahadev Jadhav had left their Kothrud home for a morning walk on Monday and went missing as he was last spotted exiting the gate of the house.

Kedar immediately lodged a complaint after his father didn't return home after a couple of hours. The local police accessed the CCTV footage and began a search operation to find the 75-year-old. The cricketer took to his social media accounts to share the update and thanked fans and the police after they traced his father, a few hours later.

Kedar Jadhav snubbed in IPL 2023 mini-auction

Speaking about his professional career, Kedar has featured in 73 ODIs and nine T20Is for the national team and has amassed 1389 and 122 runs respectively across the two formats.

Meanwhile, the middle-order batter was snubbed in the Indian Premier League (IPL) mini-auction in December 2022. Despite that, the batter garnered a lot of attention as he slammed a majestic double century (283 runs) against Assam in the Ranji Trophy and followed it with two half-centuries (56 and 71 runs) and one ton (128 runs) in his last five outings.

Kedar last played for Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 2021 IPL season and featured in only six matches wherein he amassed 55 runs. The right-hander went unsold in the following mega-auction and did not feature in the auction of the 2023 season.
