India and Bengal cricketer Manoj Tiwary bid adieu to professional cricket on Sunday, February 18 during his state’s last fixture in Ranji Trophy 2024 against Bihar. After hanging up his boots, the 38-year-old questioned legendary India captain MS Dhoni for dropping him even after he scored a century against West Indies in 2011.

Notably, Tiwary scored his only hundred in international cricket during the 5th ODI against West Indies in Chennai on December 11, 2011 but failed to find a spot in the playing XI in the Commonwealth Bank Series in Australia in 2012. Hence, the right-handed batter questioned Dhoni and even stated that he would’ve turned out to be in the same league as modern greats Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli if he was given enough opportunities.

Today, when I see many people getting more opportunities on TV, I feel sad,” said Tiwary in an interview with News18.
