It has been well over two years since the legendary MS Dhoni announced his retirement from international cricket. While he does play competitive cricket annually while leading the Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League (IPL), Dhoni keeps himself engaged with different business ventures during the rest of the time.

One of his newest ventures is film production and he has already started a movie production company named 'Dhoni Entertainment'. The company has already produced films like Roar of the Lion, Blaze to Glory, and, The Hidden Hindu. Now, it has been learned that Dhoni Entertainment will be producing its first Tamil movie.

Dhoni Entertainment to finally produce its first Tamil movie

The MS Dhoni-owned Dhoni Entertainment is all in readiness to produce its first-ever Tamil movie having forayed into Kollywood. The movie happens to be a family entertainer which has been conceptualised by Dhoni's better half Sakshi according to a release as well as the managing director of the production house.

Ramesh Thamilmani has been roped in as the director for the project and he showered praise on Sakshi Singh Dhoni's work on conceptualizing the movie by terming it 'special'.

"From the moment I read the concept written by Sakshi, I knew it was special. The concept was fresh and had all the potential to be a fun family entertainer…” Thamilmani was quoted as saying by MoneyControl.

With MS Dhoni finally entering the movie business with a good project, it now remains to be seen how soon will he be entering into the action and Sci-Fi genres which have churned out multiple blockbusters for Kollywood in the last two decades.

As far as his cricketing career is concerned the Ranchi cricketer will be back in on-field action for IPL 2023 to lead the four-time winners CSK. However, with him being over 40 years of age, it would be interesting to see how long he could serve the franchise as an active player.
