Afghanistan (AFG) and Netherlands (NED) will lock horns in the 34th match of the ongoing ODI World Cup 2023, at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow, on November 3 (Friday). Afghanistan and Sri Lanka are currently sitting in sixth and eighth positions in the points tally of the marquee event. 

The Hashmatullah Shahidi-led side are coming into the contest after two consecutive wins over Pakistan and Sri Lanka, respectively. In their game against the Kusal Mendis-led side in Pune, Afghanistan won the toss and elected to field first. Fazalhaq Farooqi claimed a four-wicket haul as Afghanistan restricted Sri Lanka to a below-par 241 runs. Later Rahmat Shah, Shahidi, and Azmatullah Omarzai all scored half-centuries to help Afghanistan win the game by seven wickets.

The Netherlands, on the other hand, defeated Bangladesh in their previous game. In terms of the game, the Netherlands posted 229 runs after winning the toss and batting first. Later, Paul van Meekeren picked up four wickets to restrict Shakib Al Hasan and Co. to 142 in 42.2 overs.

The 34th ODI World Cup match between Afghanistan and Netherlands is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. (IST) at Lucknow's Ekana Stadium. The weather forecast in Lucknow is projected to be 31 degrees Celsius (high) during the daytime and it will likely reduce to 17 degrees Celsius at night (low), according to AccuWeather. Notably, the sky in Mumbai will be cloudy during the day and night.

There is no prediction for thunderstorms on Friday at this venue as the whole day will be sunny. There is only a 1% chance of precipitation during daytime and night. Since the match will not get affected by rain, the spectators are expected to watch both innings of the game without interruption.
