The ODI World Cup 2023 is well underway, and as the tournament progresses, Babar Azam-led Pakistan are all set to kick off their World Cup campaign by taking on the Netherlands in the second game of the competition. Both sides face each other at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on Friday, October 6.

As the game looms around the corner, many fans will be anxious to know how the weather will fare when Pakistan (PAK) and the Netherlands (NED) take centre stage in Hyderabad. The game will begin at 2 PM IST, and the weather forecast says that a rain-free day is expected.

Furthermore, with sunny conditions and occasional cloud cover, the maximum temperature during the day is expected to reach 33 degrees Celsius. As the night approaches, the temperature is expected to drop to 25 degrees Celsius. The absence of dew in Hyderabad could be a driving factor during the toss as well. With no hindrance from rain expected, the fans could be in for a pleasant day of cricket.

Pakistan look to get off to a positive start

Speaking of the game, Pakistan will be keen on putting in a good performance against the Netherlands and getting off to a positive start to the tournament. The Babar Azam-led side faced losses in both of their warm-up games for the World Cup against Australia and New Zealand. Furthermore, they had a disappointing run in the recently concluded Asia Cup 2023, where they were eliminated from the Super Four stage.

The side will seek to redeem themselves as they gear up to take on the Netherlands. On the other hand, led by Scott Edwards, the Netherlands will be keen on putting up a fight as well.

The side were unlucky during the warm-up games as both matches were washed out due to rain and abandoned, producing no result. On the back of minimal practice, it could be interesting to see how the Netherlands fare against arguably one of the strongest sides in world cricket in Pakistan.
