In a thrilling World Cup 2023 match against Bangladesh, Shaheen Afridi etched his name in the annals of cricketing history by becoming the fastest pacer to reach to the landmark of 100 ODI wickets. Afridi accomplished this remarkable feat in just 51 matches, outpacing the renowned Australian pace sensation, Mitchell Starc, who had taken 52 matches to achieve the same milestone. The moment of glory arrived when Tanzid Hasan of Bangladesh became Afridi's 100th wicket.

Also, during the ICC World Cup 2023 league clash at Kolkata's Eden Gardens, the rising star Shaheen Shah Afridi blazed a trail by becoming the quickest Pakistani bowler to claim 100 ODI wickets. Notably, India's Mohammed Shami holds the title of India's fastest to 100 ODI wickets, achieving it in a mere 56 matches.

Nepal's leg-spin sensation Sandeep Lamichchane has stormed to the forefront of the cricketing world by becoming the fastest player to reach 100 ODI wickets, in a mere 42 matches. Trailing closely behind is Afghanistan's leg-spin maestro, Rashid Khan, who achieved this remarkable feat in just 44 ODI appearances.
