Rohit Sharma dropped a bombshell on social media after playing two brilliant knocks against Australia in the three-match ODI series. The former India captain posted a cryptic message, setting the cricket fraternity into a frenzy.
While India lost the series 1-2, Rohit showcased exemplary grit and determination to register a fifty in the second ODI and a match-winning century in the third. The 38-year-old finished with 202 runs in three games at an average of 101 and a strike rate of 85.60, winning the Player of the Series award.
A few hours removed from his stunning ton in the Emerald City, Rohit shared a striking picture of himself entering the Sydney Airport and captioned it with: "One last time, signing off from Sydney." Fans are speculating whether this is a message from him about his final appearance as an active player in Australia, or it is a bigger hint towards the upcoming phase of his career.

Rohit notched up his 33rd ODI century in Sydney. He is third on the list of batters with most centuries in the 50-over format, only behind compatriots Virat Kohli and Sachin Tendulkar, who have 51 and 49 tons, respectively.
This was also Rohit's ninth century against the Men in Yellow in ODI cricket, the most he has scored against an opponent in the format. The Nagpur-born averages a whopping 59.39 from 49 ODIs against Australia.
Rohit's next international appearance is set to come against South Africa on November 30 in the first ODI of the three-match series. He will look to continue his purple patch when he faces the Proteas on home soil.
