Pakistan Women to tour Sri Lanka for white-ball series in July-August 2026

Pakistan Women are set to tour Sri Lanka for a white-ball series in July and August 2026, with Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) confirming the schedule on Wednesday, June 10. The tour will feature three One-Day Internationals (ODIs) and three Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is), taking place shortly after the conclusion of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 in England.

The ODI series will form part of the ongoing ICC Women’s Championship 2025-29 cycle, making it crucial for both teams in their quest to secure direct qualification for future ICC events. Pakistan currently occupy second place in the standings with eight points, having won four of their six matches. Sri Lanka sit third with four wins and two defeats, also collecting eight points.

All six matches of the tour will be played at the Mahinda Rajapaksa International Cricket Stadium in Hambantota. The ODI matches are scheduled for July 23, July 25, and July 28, while the T20I series will be played on July 31, August 2, and August 4.

Historically, the rivalry between the two sides has been closely contested in the shortest format. Pakistan and Sri Lanka have faced each other in 21 Women’s T20 Internationals, with Pakistan holding a slight advantage after winning 11 matches. Sri Lanka have registered nine victories, while one match ended without a result.

In the ODI format, Sri Lanka have enjoyed greater success. The two teams have met on 34 occasions, with Sri Lanka winning 22 matches and Pakistan securing 11 victories. One ODI ended in a no-result.

Both sides are currently competing in the Women’s T20 World Cup 2026. Pakistan begin their campaign against India on June 14 at Edgbaston, Birmingham, while Sri Lanka face hosts England at the same venue on June 12.
