The PCB (Pakistan Cricket Board) recently came forward and refused to issue no objection certificates (NOCs) to the national cricketers for the upcoming Zim Afro T10 League. It is worth noting that the T10 League is all set to begin in Harare on September 21.

As per several reports, Shan Masood, Asif Ali, Haider Ali, Yasir Shah, Mohammad Irfan, Sharjeel Khan, and Salman Irshad were the players who were selected for the T10 League but have been denied NOCs for the same.

The likes of Shan Masood, Haider Ali, and Asif Ali are currently occupied with the PCB Champions One Day Cup in Faisalabad, which has been a major reason why the board has not issued them NOCs.

The PCB officials stated that the Zim Afro T10 League lacks ICC approval, which is necessary for the issuing of NOCs; furthermore, until the league gets approval from the ICC, no cricketers from Pakistan will be issued a NOC for the same.

It is also worth noting that if no players are issued NOCs, then only Mohammad Irfan and Salman Irshad would be eligible to play in the league, as they are not under PCB contracts.

On the other hand, an official from Zimbabwe Cricket came forward to state that the nation’s board is approved by the ICC, and additional approval from the governing body is not required.

Pakistan set to take on England in Test series

Speaking of Pakistan, the side is all set to take on England in a three-game Test series. The first Test of the series will be held at the Multan Cricket Stadium on October 7. Currently, Pakistan occupy eighth place in the World Test Championship standings, with 16 points to their name.

Having played seven Tests, Pakistan have won two Tests and lost five Tests. With their aim of making it to the WTC final looking very slim, the side will hope for a good showing against England, especially after their upset against Bangladesh.
