In the second match of the ongoing Pakistan Super League between Peshawar Zalmi and Karachi Kings, ace pacer Mohammad Amir lost his calm after getting hit for a four by Babar Azam on the penultimate delivery of the sixth over. On the very next ball, the left-arm pacer managed to bowl a dot delivery, collected the ball in his follow-through only to throw it on the square (pitch).

Amir looked exasperated after getting hit for a boundary and the same was vivid by reaction on the very next delivery.

While addressing about the same after the game, Karachi Kings batter Shoaib Malik stated that the respect element shouldn’t be missing from the game. The veteran reckoned that everyone needs to be professional and respect each other on the field.

“(I believe) the respect element shouldn't be missing. I've seen Amir, Imad, Babar... whenever they meet, they greet each other with respect. In this room, you won't be compatible in the same way with everyone. Some would gel up well, you'd like some and you might not like some others. But that would only be on professional basis. I'm sure you all respect each other too.

It's good for the league. Once you enter the league, you need to focus on what encourages you to deliver your best. But we know no one crosses the line," Malik said as quoted by NDTV.

Peshawar Zalmi defeated Karachi Kings in a cliffhanger

Babar managed to kick-start his time with Zalmi with a nail-biting win over his former franchise Karachi Kings. He led by example, scoring 68 off 46 deliveries while Tom Kohler-Cadmore smashed 92 off 50 deliveries to help Peshawar post 199 on the board after 20 overs.

In the second innings, despite Karachi not getting a perfect start, skipper Imad Wasim and Shoaib Malik stepped up but couldn’t prevent the team from defeat. Imad scored 80* off 47 deliveries while Malik scored 52 off 34 balls. Even after their brilliant effort, Karachi lost the match by two runs.
