One of the most decorated coaches in the Pakistan domestic circuit, Abdul Rehman has been promoted as the new head coach of Multan Sultans for the upcoming season. He joined the franchise in 2018 and was working as an assistant coach for five years before replacing Andy Flower at the helm of things.

Under the leadership of Flower and Abdul, Sultans have qualified for the final of the competition in the last three seasons and have won the trophy in the 2021 edition. Former coach Flower thus has put his faith in Abdul and stated that the 43-year-old is the right person to guide the team in the coming years.

When I agreed to join the Sultans, my first request was for Abdul Rehman to be my assistant coach. He is an exceptional coach and a consummate professional, and I am confident the team will benefit with him at the helm,” Flower was quoted as saying by ESPNcricinfo.
