Rahul Dravid's son Samit Dravid bags maiden Maharaja Trophy KSCA T20 contract
The 18-year-old all-rounder was acquired for a sum of INR 50,000.

The auction held in Bengaluru on July 25 for the third edition of the Maharaja Trophy KSCA T20 witnessed Rahul Dravid's son, Samit Dravid, being drafted by last season's runner-up, the Mysuru Warriors, for INR 50,000. A versatile medium-pacer and middle-order batter, Samit Dravid was a key member of the Karnataka Under-19 team that clinched the 2023-24 Cooch Behar Trophy.
Notably, with 362 runs in 10 innings comprising three fifties and 16 scalps in 15 innings to his name. He also represented KSCA XI in a three-day match against the visiting Lancashire side in Alur. At the Warriors, Samit will be under the stewardship of Karun Nair, who has been retained as captain by the team. The Warriors also acquired all-rounders, Krishnappa Gowtham for INR 7.4 lakh and Jagadeesha Suchith for INR 4.8 lakh, respectively.
Furthermore, as per ESPN Cricinfo, pacer Prasidh Krishna, who recently underwent surgery on his left proximal quadriceps tendon, was secured for INR 1 lakh. Shifting focus to the significant acquisitions for other teams, wicketkeeper-batter, LR Chethan, who represented the Gulbarga Mystics last season, emerged as the most expensive player at the auction, securing a move to the Bengaluru Blasters for INR 8.2 lakh. The Blasters will be captained by Mayank Agarwal.
