Musheer Khan, the younger brother of Sarafaraz Khan, who is coming off a brilliant Under-19 World Cup, has slammed his first-class century. The 18-year-old scored a spectacular ton on the first day of the Mumbai versus Baroda match in the 2024 Ranji Trophy quarter final at the MCA Cricket Ground in Mumbai. Musheer, who was playing in just his fourth first-class encounter, reached his first-ever hundred in 179 balls.
Mumbai did not make the best of starts after opting to bat first. However, Musheer, who had come in to bat at number three, played a scintillating knock under pressure and displayed bravery to help his team evade a collapse.

When his team was reduced to 142/5 and both skipper Ajinkya Rahane and Prithvi Shaw were struggling, Musheer rose to the occasion and displayed the same promise that he made in the recently concluded Under-19 World Cup.
He is a player to watch out for because he has demonstrated the ability to rise to the occasion and remain composed under pressure, particularly with the semifinal position on the line.

Sarfaraz Khan makes impressive international debut
Following the injuries sustained by KL Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja in the opening Test match against England in Hyderabad, Sarfaraz Khan received a call-up for the first time for India in 2024. The 26-year-old received his international cap from legendary India cricketer Anil Kumble ahead of India's third Test match in Rajkot. He scored a brisk 62 off 66 balls before a miscommunication with Ravindra adeja led to his run out. Meanwhile, in the second innings, he struck 68 runs off of 72 balls, which proved to be vital in India's 434-run victory.
