Talking of Ashwin’s recent performances, the 36-year-old breathed fire against the West Indies. Ashwin’s performance was crucial for India in winning the first Test of the series. Furthermore, Ashwin took three wickets across the two innings in the second Test. However, as rain played spoilsport, the second Test was drawn and the Indian team had to contend with a 1-0 win.
