India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja dedicated the Player of the Match award he recived in the third Test against England in Rajkot to his spouse Rivaba. Jadeja made this endearing gesture days after his father, Anirudhsinh, said that the cricketer began acting differently with his family after his marriage.
Jadeja was crucial for India in Rajkot, where the hosts registered a massive 434-run win to take a 2-1 lead in the series at the newly-named Niranjan Shah Stadium. The all-rounder scored a century in the first innings and claimed a five-wicket haul in the second. Notably, this was India's second win after beginning the series with a surprise 28-run defeat in the series opener in Hyderabad.
"This is a special Man of the Match at my home ground. I would like to dedicate this award to my wife. She has been working hard behind the scenes, mentally. She always gives me confidence," Jadeja said in a video posted by the BCCI.

Meanwhile, Jadeja had openly supported his wife Rivaba hours after his father's accusations days before the third Test began.
"The things mentioned in the dubious interview with Divya Bhaskar are meaningless and false. Those are one-sided comments that I deny them. The attempt to tarnish the image of my wife is improper and condemnable. I too have a lot to say but it is better that I don't reveal those things in public," Jadeja wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
